So back in 2016 I was working on some off the cuff material and cleaning up older jokes to play with them. During this time I was dealing with something intense growing inside of me without my knowledge. To think I was able to make people laugh when I felt like I was dying because cancer had been growing in me. I am blessed to be alive today, and it is comedy that really helps me live truthfully by making people laugh. Even if my humor is crud or sometimes outright insane, I never mean any harm, only to look differently at what is being presented in life. Peace in harmony

Back in 2013 a buddy of mine asked me to perform on his regular show. I love the New York Comedy Club, and my friend had done some great shows. It was all together a blast. This was a much more laid back version of my stage performace. I had not been on the stage for a few months as I was building my theater at the time! To go back and figure out the laughter rate for this video really made me feel good. I was doubting myself, having been away for a while. This routine got a 34% laughter rate in 9 minute and 37 second of performance time.

This was my very first time performing on the main stage at the Gotham Comedy Club. I began comedy back in 2007. To have a fellow comedian to reach out for me to perform on this show fueled me. To get a chance to grace this particular stage after three years hooked me. This is the show that made me believe comedy was something I wanted to really dedicate time to. I had a solid crowd there, the place was packed, and it was the first time I could feel my branding draw people for me. The club was great, the audience was wonderful and the staff was and is still amazing.

I had been doing comedy for about a year and four months or so at the point of this performance. I got this gig to prove a point. I was told that I had to do a contest which would have lasted four performances where I would have brought in at least 10 to 20 people to win times four shows equals anywhere from 40 to 80 audience members. I was told you have to do the "contest" which is a bringer show... Instead of doing that, I utilized my tools on how I became successful in music and did the same thing. I hung out at the club two weeks before this particular show. While I Was sitting there I ended up becoming friends with the owner. He liked me as a person and then booked me that night to perform two weeks later. Don't be fooled, or scammed. Your success is based on the work you put in. NETWORK, MARKET, and PRACTICE!
